3 Years

Today is St. Patrick's Day. But more importantly today is our third wedding anniversary!

We got married March 17th, 2007 then headed to Peru for 3 months to honeymoon in Cusco, Peru, then to spend time with some friends working on an ecology project in Tacna, Peru. It was such a great way to start off our marriage!

This year we celebrated 3 years with a weekend trip to Big Sur. And of course, it was beautiful, amazing, perfect!
While there we visited the Big Sur Bakery and it was incredible!! If you find yourself up there, it's worth the visit, and the price (it's expensive!). MMMMM... I'm still thinking about their 9 grain pancake.

17 Weeks @ Big Sur

Lucky

17 Weeks @ Big Sur

So, I'm 17 weeks. Lucky 17.

Get this. This was not intentional, we did not plan this, but this is how it worked out:

December 17th, 2002 - We started dating
April 17th, 2006 - We got in engaged
March 17th, 2007 - We got married
December 17th, 2010 - We found out we were pregnant
February 17th, 2010 - We found our dear Lucky at the shelter!

What do you think the chances are of our baby being born on the 17th?

Happy anniversary! I have been a blog stocker- never posting a comment. I stumbled across your blog maybe a year ago or so. Anyway now I find myself checking out your blog at least once a week- especially since you are pregnant. I loved being pregnant and so am so excited for you- how weird to be excited for someone you really don't know. I love hearing about all the wonderful places you travel to, we now farm so are unable to travel really at all. Well I am no longer a unidentified stocker:)
Love all the pictures too! Thanks!

Thanks everyone :)

Thanks for commenting "Peterson Family!" :) You live on a farm?! ... That's a little dream of ours... someday maybe!

Yep we quit our jobs and worked on an organic dairy farm for almost a year then moved on to a farm my husbands grandfather and uncle farmed. Neither of us grew up farming so we really have no idea what we are doing- I have a blog if you want to check us out. I have been slacking on the updating part- but feel free to check us out- and visitors are always welcome- that is if you want to come to Minnesota:)

ga! crazy! so YOU got the magic honey in lone pine and WE camped in that VERY SPOT when we drove up the PCH last year and hiked down the little ravine to the crashing waves where that wonderful picture MUST have been taken. and then we had the best breakfast in our lives at deetjen's.

seriously, it has to have been the same campground. it's the only one right there smack on the cliffs overlooking the pacific. it was rainy and misty and dramatic and spectacular.

how FUN is this?!

AH! I've always wanted to try deetjens!

It very well may be the same campground... not many sit on the cliff like that... It's Kirk Creekcampground.

Too fun!

If I could ship you a spoon full of honey I would, this honey is worth it! We go up to the Eastern Sierras quite often and I'm thinking about loading up!

Hi, Amanda. I'm quite late in sending along my cheers, but nonetheless, I wanted to wish you a huge congratulations on your pregnancy! You look absolutely beautiful. (And so do those cookies that you posted last week. I've never tried coconut in my chocolate chip cookies, and I'd say it's about time.) All the best to you.
