Nesting

Here's a little peak at our house, it's coming along and it's feeling like home!
Our place is little and has lots of character. We have a little built-in breakfast nook, which has a nice view of our backyard...

Grandma's painting

One thing that stood out as we were decorating our place: all of our art pieces are from friends and family. As I look around I see pieces from Noah, Allen, Jeff, Nick, Heidi, Grandma Taylor, and Justin's mom. We know some talented people and it's so great to be surrounded by their creativity. The painting above of the church is a painting my Grandma (maternal) did for my dad. It's a painting of a church that my Great Grandfather (paternal) built in Alamo, Mexico. It's a neat little church that I've only visited when I was young. I hope to go back someday, I love hearing stories about my family's history in Mexico as gold miners living in a small little town. Fascinating!

So, about my lack of posts recently. Would I gain your sympathy if I shared some news:
13 weeks

I am pregnant. We are expecting!! There's a baby inside me!! I am only 13 weeks and probably shouldn't be showing just yet, but I do have a little bump.

I am going to use my pregnancy card and say that because I am pregnant I have not been posting as much. This is mainly because of the first trimester woes. The nausea and lack of energy have been harsh, but as I pull through and head into my second trimester I look forward to that pregnancy glow and more energy (I hope!) and more photos.

AH! Congratulations, Amanda! You're so cute preggo! Hope the sickness winds down and that you're feeling a little better every day... it will all be worth it. And the house is looking great! Love the meaningful art.

Gotta love blog cliff hangers...especially when there is a baby on the other end. Noticed you are into green smoothies too....this is a great raw food blog and the woman is pregnant. I wish I would have known about raw food while pregnant.
Enjoy and Congrats!
