Guest Post: Love Can Do That

Darkness cannot drive out darkness;
only light can do that.
Hate cannot drive out hate;
only love can do that.

- Martin Luther King, Jr.

I must give my husband credit for this photo. Since we share cameras for the most part we often find ourselves arguing over who took which photo. I would claim this as my own, but I do distinctly remember him taking this photo, and we probably have witnesses. So, I will spare him all that and just say, great photo! I really do like it. He has this "thing" for trees. Not exactly like but close to, a fascination that a friend of ours has - he kissed a tree once. I think he has a profound love for nature. And we do too, but not at that level, yet.

2008 in 44

40 little photos of 2008, a summary.

It was a good year... Old house, new house, Guatemala, Oregon, San Fransisco, Yosemite, Joshua Tree, new friends, old friends, music, Eaton canyon, food adventures.

I didn't meet any of my 8 "goals" for 2008 ... except the buying new stuff (for most months) and the focusing on being healthy goal. I guess I will just roll them over to 2009, plus a few more, like starting a garden, and getting chickens.

New Home: Mae Bird

It's a new year, I have a new camera, I guess I need a new blog. After 104 posts in almost 3 years, I say goodbye to my old blog.

I feel like I have a better idea about my photography and what I like to do, so I thought I would start over here and see where it goes.

Cheers to change and new beginnings.

Photo taken Jan 09 while hiking through Arroyo Secco.
